House Resolution No.27

Delegate Claypole, and Delegate Fleischauer)
"Supporting the paving of County Route 46 beginning at the
junction of I-79 at Osage, West Virginia."
Whereas, County Route 46 located in Monongalia County and also
serving as an access road to Interstate 79, commonly referred to as
The Chaplain Hill Road; and
Whereas, County Route 46 has in recent years has been
increasingly used as an alternate route during times of extremely
heavy traffic on I-79 and WV State Route 7 U.S. 19; and
Whereas, County route 46 is a route used by several residents
who must travel Route 7 U.S. 19; and
Whereas, Paving of County Route 46 has the potential of opening
up for development some of the most level land in the county with
easy access to I-79; and
Whereas, The Morgantown Chamber of Commerce and the Monongalia
County Development Authority support the paving of county Route 46
beginning at the Osage exit of I-79; therefore, be it
Resolved by the House of Delegates:
That the paving of Route 46 at the Osage exit of I-79 is
supported; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates is
hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the
Governor and to the Secretary of Transportation.
